FUN AND CREATIVE SURREY WEDDING // GEORGIA + ALEX
"I want to have birds of prey at the wedding" is not something you expect to hear from a petit, sweet looking, teaching little kids for living bride at your initial meeting. Georgia and Alex are easy to like at first sight but when we got to wild birds, boat club wedding and pre-wedding shoot that just had to include their little fur baby Claude I knew I really really wanted to shoot their wedding.
We shot the pre-wedding pictures in their home in Teddington and Claude wore a new beautiful bow tie for that occasion. I will share these pictures with you soon.
WEDDING DAY
Georgia and Alex got married in the Surrey County Hall in Kingston Upon Thames, and did something I actually never seen before - decorated the room for their ceremony. For months Georgia has been making paper cranes to put them all around the County Hall. It looked amazing and certainly put their own stamp on a pretty traditional ceremony setting.
After the Surrey County Hall ceremony, while guests headed to the reception venue, we of course popped over to Georgia and Alex's home to take a quick photo with Claude.
Alex and his two brothers (tree tallest guys in probably every room) all trained rowing at some stage and I think that inspired the reception venue - Molesey Boat Club. Lovely cosy place with big terrace and great view at the river. The moment I walked in I knew Georgia wasn't kidding with birds of prey - images of birds were everywhere - table plan, decorations everywhere and even the cake in shape of a majestic eagle head. And of course the big surprise of the day - life birds of prey visiting from The Hawking Centre.
It was a wonderful day full of sunshine, laughter, love and animals! Seriously, I love my job.
