Everyone comes to a wedding looking their absolute best. And somehow the only photos they go home with are group shots taken on someone's phone at a weird angle, mid-blink, in the dim light of a hotel ballroom.
The Wedding Portrait Studio is a professional portrait setup — elegant backdrop, studio lighting, a photographer who knows how to make people feel comfortable in about thirty seconds — tucked quietly into your reception. Guests drop in when they feel like it. A couple of minutes in front of the camera, and they are back at the party with a portrait worth keeping.
It sounds like a nice extra. It tends to become everyone's favourite thing about the evening.

There is something specific about a wedding guest. They made an effort. They found the outfit, did their hair, maybe even wore something they have been waiting for the right occasion to bring out. They feel good. That confidence shows up in photographs in a way that almost never happens on a regular Tuesday.
That is what the portrait studio is for. Not to manufacture something perfect. Just to give that feeling a decent backdrop and proper light, and let it do its thing.
Most people will tell you they are not photogenic. Most people leave saying that was actually fun. Those two things happen to be related.

We work out the details together before the day — where the studio sits in your venue, when it runs, how it fits around the rest of the evening. I arrive before your guests do. By the time anyone walks in, the backdrop is up, the lighting is set, and everything looks like it was always meant to be there.
Guests come and go as they please throughout the reception. There is no queue, no announcement, no awkward group shuffle. Just a little corner of the room where something nice is happening, whenever someone feels like it.
Edited portraits land in your inbox within 48 hours. Yours to share however you like — a gallery link to guests, a post, a keepsake. While the flowers are still fresh.

Is this instead of a wedding photo booth?

It can be. The portrait studio fills the same space in your reception — a photography experience guests can enjoy during the evening — but the results are completely different. A photo booth gives your guests a keepsake. This gives them a portrait they will still be using five years from now.
Can it run alongside my wedding photographer?

Absolutely. If I am already shooting your wedding, the portrait studio runs as a separate element so nothing pulls me away from the day. It can also be added as a standalone if your main photography is already covered.
What about the venue?

The studio works in almost any space — a corner of a barn, a corridor at a country house, a side room at a London venue. We work out the best spot together once I know where you are getting married.
How many guests can it cover?
